  7. Ripken, Senior, a former coach and
  8. manager of the Orioles, Cal junior got to
  9. field, shag flies, and take batting practice
  10. with  the pros.

  12. Cal played baseball and soccer at Aberdeen 
  13. High School, in Aberdeen, Maryland. In his 
  14. senior year, he hit for an amazing .492 
  15. average. Not only was he an excellent short-
  16. stop, but he was also a talented pitcher. 
  17. As a senior, Cal won seven games and 
  18. lost only two, allowing less than one 
  19.
